For the Washington Demons at 120lbs Walker Ikerd fell to #9 Kyler Dunn of Spirit Lake Park by 7-6 decision, in consolation action Hunter Worthen of Union La Porte City beat Ikerd 7-6, ending his tournament
At 138lbs Garrett Ikerd dropped his match to #5 Chase McLaren of Atlantic by 9-3 decision. In consolation action Ikerd was eliminated from the tournament by Gunner Rodgers of North Fayette Valley by 6-2 decision
Dillan Sanders at 145lbs lost his opening match of the tournament to #6 Max Babcock of New Hampton Turkey Valley by fall, in consolation action Cael Meyer of West Delaware eliminated Sanders from the tournament with a victory by fall.
#2 Tristan Westphal Edwards was on the mat at 182lbs for the Demons and made quick work of Beau Barncaster of Creston to open his tournament, coming away with the fall in just 29 seconds.
#9 ranked Logan Escher beat Reid Walters of Chariton by 8-4 decision in the opening round at 195lbs
For the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks #10 Isaac Boucher at 195lbs was pinned by#3 Dalton Chipp of Hampton Dumont in the first round, he rebounded to take out Treyton Burnkiel of Cresco by 11-10 decision.
#3 Jarod Kadel of the Columbus-Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats advanced through his opener pinning #9 Isaac Bryan of Sargeant Bluff Luton
For the Highland Huskies Geoff Streb at 132lbs was pinned by #6 Easton Larson of Don Bosco in his first match and then lost to Ethan Berven of Emmetsburg by fall in the consolation round to end his tournament.
Brady Hahn is at 145lbs for the Huskies he advanced past Kaleb Bauer of Southeast Warren by fall
Cory Stewart of Highland was eliminated at 152lbs, dropping his first match to Kameron Black of Newman Catholic by 4-3 decision and then falling to Cooper Andreassen of English Valleys by 17-4 major decision.
Dan Burton of Highland was eliminated at 160lbs, dropping his first match to Mason Griffin of Emmetsburg by 3-1 decision before falling to Hunter Cobb of Wayne in the consolation bracket by pin.
Jonah Clark of WACO was knocked out of the tournament at 120lbs beaten by #4 Jacob Moore of Denver Tripoli by fall in the opening round and then losing to Weston Allen of Underwood by 10-1 major decision in the consolation round.
Jalen Collins split his first day matches at 126 for WACO, dropping the opener to Robert Avila Jr of Lisbon by fall before rebounding to pin Carter Pals of Central Springs
#5 Mason Dye is at state for Sigourney-Keota. He began his tournament by rolling through Mick Schroder of Oakland Riverside by tech fall.
