Paintings and music will be presented by one artist in Washington this week. Scott Kirby is returning to Washington with his Main Street Souvenirs program, “First half of that program is about small town America, and distinctly Midwestern, Heartland small towns. The second half of the show is about the Great Plains, it features a lot more of my art. So it’s not technically an art exhibit, but there are over 100 images projected onto the screen as part the integrated thematic concept.” He tells KCII News that he has a love for the Midwest and the plains. Kirby has been playing piano most of his life, but began painting at the age of 40. His multi-media program will be at the LET’s Center for the Creative and Healing Arts Saturday at 7 p.m.

He will also be playing piano at the Washington Public Library Tuesday at 12:15 p.m.
