The Washington wrestling team has had quite a bit of success across the lineup all year.  As a result, four Demon wrestlers were included in the latest rankings from The Predicament.

Walker Ikerd is the first, sitting at 10th in the 120 weight class.  At 30-1 on the season, Ikerd is looking to get back to the state tournament after an appearance there last year.  His one loss on the season came against Waukee’s Nick Miller, who has been ranked in Class 3A at points throughout the year.

Garrett Ikerd, Walker’s twin brother, is also ranked, sitting at ninth in the 138.  Garrett sits at 25-4 on the season, with three of his four losses coming to fellow ranked wrestlers (other came via injury).  He will not wrestle again until sectionals after suffering an injury against Pekin.

Tristin Westphal has been in the rankings all season at 182, ranging from fourth to second in the class.  After staying unbeaten and dominant, however, he has now moved into the top spot on the rankings.  Logan Escher was named to the rankings for the first time, sitting at 10th in the 195 weight class.  He’s been dominant all season, boasting a 24-3 record.
