Following a stinging overtime defeat at home Friday at the hands of the Pekin Panthers, the Iowa Mennonite School boys basketball team rebounded on the road Monday, downing Wapello 58-51.

IMS held a slim 13-10 lead after the first quarter but found themselves down 26-25 at the half. IMS wrestled the lead away from the Indians in the third, to go up 39-36 going to the fourth. In the final quarter, IMS pushed their lead to 48-41 with five minutes left on a 5-0 run. Wapello got within three at 54-51 in the final minutes before Eli Ours knocked down four free throws to put the game away. Jeremy Niemeyer led the way for IMS with 22 points, Eli Ours added 15. With the win, IMS is now 9-5 on the year.
