One man was sent to the hospital after a crash in Henry County.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday 41-year-old Heather Timmerman of Mouth Pleasant was driving northbound on Nebraska Avenue and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection at 200th Street. She struck a vehicle being driven by 41-year-old Aaron Cummings of Mount Union.

Cummings was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital due to his injuries. He was trapped in his car and had to be extricated by New London Fire and Rescue. Timmerman, along with a child in her car, received minor injuries. She was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Agencies on the scene were New London Fire and Rescue, Mount Union Fire and Rescue, Henry County Health Center Ambulance, and the Air Evac Helicopter.
