The Highland girls’ basketball team is sitting in a great spot after the first half of the season. A 9-2 record doesn’t come easily, and though they’re led by two double-digit scorers, it wasn’t just scoring that got the Huskies to where they’re at.
The Huskies go into the new year sitting at third in the state across all classes in total team rebounds with 483 through 11 games. They especially got the job done on the defensive side, leading the state in defensive rebounds with 333. Aly Stokes and Abbie Miller have certainly helped with those numbers, as the two put together have accounted for 263 of them.
