The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team snapped their three game losing streak, going into the Christmas break with a 65-38 win over Northeast Goose Lake last week

The Hawks started strong, holding an 11-3 lead after one quarter and found themselves on top 29-12 at the half. The Rebels hung tough in the third frame but Mid-Prairie outscored Goose Lake 22-12 in the final quarter to put the game away. Shae Becker led the Golden Hawks with a double double of 22 points and 11 rebounds. Myah Lugar finished with 12 points and Kessa Jones 10. With the win, the Hawks go into break at 7-3.
