For the last several years, Sigourney-Keota has been a run-first football team, so much so that they run a spinner back set.  In a system like that, it certainly helps if you have a dynamic rusher leading the offense.

J.D. Stout was just that.  At spinner back, Stout was third in rushing yards among rushers in the district with 1150, including the district’s longest touchdown run at 81 yards.  On top of that, he finished the year with 21 touchdowns, which was good for fourth in all of class 1A.  His performance throughout the season was good enough to earn him a spot on the first all-district team.
