The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk cross country team enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in 2018, due in part to the hard work of their coaching staff.

This week, the Iowa Association of Track Coaches named Aaron Fleming the boys assistant coach of the year. Fleming, a long time assistant coach for Golden Hawk track and cross country, has been a part of the program reaching its highest heights in the last few seasons including a 2016 boys state team championship and back-to-back girls state team titles in 2017 and 2018. In 2018, the Golden Hawk boys sent senior Quinn Schmidt back to Fort Dodge where he finished in the top 40 in class 2A.
