The Washington County Board of Supervisors reviewed new information regarding an amendment to an agreement with WEMIGA waste at Tuesday’s meeting.

Due to the current market for some recyclables, Lynn Whaley with WEMIGA asked the board and the City of Washington to reconsider reimbursing him to dispose of certain materials. After continued discussion by both the board of supervisors and the Washington City Council, along with consultation from County Attorney John Gish, the agreement has been amended to make it retroactive to May 1st of 2018. The Washington City Council will now review the new agreement for their approval at a future meeting.
