The Mid-Prairie boys and girls cross country teams were back on the course for the first time in two weeks Saturday when they traveled to Monticello.

The Golden Hawk girls picked up where they left off claiming their second team title in as many meets with a score of 64 points. Jesup was second with 102 points. Marie Hostetler was the individual meet champion with her time of 18:00. Other finishers for Mid-Prairie included Mitzi Evans fifth, Ana Fleming 10th, Moriah Brase 16th, Kessa Jones 32nd, Brittany Kinsinger 57th and Zoe Fisher 72nd.

The Golden Hawk boys were seventh of 14 teams with their score of 211 points. Tipton won the meet with 40 points. Top finish for the Hawks came from Quinn Schmidt in 17th with a time of 18:14. Other finishes for the Golden Hawk boys included Samson Kimani 42nd, Thaddeus Shetler 46th, Jack Pennington 49th, Spencer Yutzy 57th, Chandler Hershberger 64th and Luke Albright 85th.

The Mid-Prairie boys and girls will next be in action Monday when they travel to Solon.
