Crafts, concerts, cinema, and clubs are just some of the ongoing events happening at the Washington Public Library this September.
The Washington Public Library is hosting events for toddlers through adults including “Wee Read” on Tuesday mornings, early-out movies on Wednesday for school-aged kids, and an adult book club led by Adult Services Librarian Allie Paarsmith. Library Director Bryna Walker shares what book they will be reading, “The book that she is going to be talking about in a group is called ‘What She Ate’ by Laura Shapiro. It meets the first date of that will be September 16th so if you’d like to interlibrary loan that book you can do that for free and be prepared for discussion at that particular book club.”
September will also feature a noontime concert, as well as other ongoing events at the library Sticks & Strings, Brown Bags & Books, and the Washington Writers’ Workshop. Saturday mornings will also be musical with residents welcome to sign up to play the piano for patrons’ enjoyment. For more information on events you can call the Washington Public Library at 319-653-2726 or visit their Facebook page.
