The Washington County Board of Supervisors moved forward with financing for new county communications equipment.

At their meeting Tuesday the supervisors approved a resolution for General Obligation County Communication Equipment Bonds in the total of $3.5 million. This amount will fulfill all needs for expenditures on the project in FY19. The county was able to save money and receive a lower interest rate of 2.75% over the life of the loan by submitting a rating request to Moody’s that affirmed the county’s standing as a AA3 rated borrowing entity.
