A first reading on a policy regarding child abuse, community groups, volunteers, and visitors is expected to be given by the Mid-Prairie School Board at Monday’s meeting.

The community-member committee that developed these new policies will give a presentation on what they determined after a series of meetings were held over the summer to formulate new policies and procedures related to volunteers, use of facilities by non-school sponsored organizations, and distribution of materials by non-school sponsored organizations. The meeting agenda also includes a public hearing at 8 p.m. for an instructional support levy, a resolution on said levy, and a district facilities report. The Mid-Prairie School Board will meet in the central administrative office community room at 7 p.m.
