After a 2-1 loss to Lynnville-Sully in the first round of the district playoffs, the Winfield-Mt. Union softball team finished with an overall record of 11-8; the program’s first winning season in at least the last decade.

The Wolves’ season was highlighted by four shutout wins, five all-conference players and one all-state selection in Madie Anderson.  Their 11 wins were the first time the program has won more than ten games in recent memory; the closest they’d gotten before this season was a nine-win season in 2009.

The Wolves were led offensively by freshman Molly Miller, who led the team in almost every major offensive category; she had team-highs in batting average (.388), home runs (5), RBI (25), on-base percentage (.453) and slugging (.731).

The team graduates three seniors in  Dakota Haines, Lauren Jamsion and Maci Richardson, and bring back the remaining 14 players.
