The Lone Tree Lion softball team had three players named to this season’s all-conference teams for the Southeast Iowa Superconference’s north division.

The Lions were highlighted by first-team selection Chloe Jaque, a junior catcher.  She finished second in the entire  conference in batting average by going .458 (23-59).  Her 21 stolen bases were also good for the second-highest in the conference.

A pair of sophomores, Abby Buckman and Holley Johnson, were given honorable mentions.  Buckman was the go-to pitcher all season long, sporting a 3.12 ERA and 112 strikeouts in 103.1 innings of work.  She also was second on the team in batting average with a .413 mark on the year.

Johnson was the teams’s leader in RBI with 23, second on the team in steals with 19, and third in average, batting .328.

The Lions finish the season right at .500, 11-11.  They lose one senior in Skylar Pettitt and keep the remaining 19 players.
