Residents of Ward 1 in Washington can head to the polls today for a special election.

The residents of the northwest quadrant of the city will be electing their new representative to the city council. The seat was vacated in April by Kerry Janecek. The three candidates are Mark Kendall, Danielle Pettit-Majewski, and Dave Mueller. You can listen to interviews with each candidate at KCIIRadio.com. Absentee voting may be done in person at the Washington County Auditor’s Office at the courthouse until 11 a.m., and polls will be open from noon-8 p.m. Listen to KCII Tuesday for live results from the Washington County Courthouse.
