After an 8-8 season, five members of the Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union boys soccer team were named to the Southeast Iowa Super Conference’s all-conference team, with two on the first team, one on the second team, and two honorable mentions.

First-teamers were sophomore Felix Solis and senior Kevin Rodriguez, the team’s top two scorers.  They were the only two on the team to break double-digit goals this season, with Solis scoring 15 and Rodriguez scoring 11.  Rodriguez was also the team’s second-most efficient shooter with a .440 shooting percentage.

Senior B.J. Rogers was named to the second team, and senior Triston Kouffaman and sophomore Angel Hernandez were honorable mentions.  All three of those guys did a bit of everything; Rogers and Kouffaman combined for five shots on goal while primarily playing defense, and Hernandez was one of the team’s most versatile players, finishing fourth on the team in total points while also spending some time at the goaltender spot.

The Wildcats will bring back two of their five all-conference selections next year.
