Nine members of the Washington boys’ soccer team were named to this year’s Southeast All-Conference Team in one form or another after posting a 9-7 record on the year.

Three players, seniors Sean Zimmer and Julio Salgado and junior Garrett Ikerd were named first team all-conference, with junior Caleb Suchan and sophomore Levi Rohr earning honorable mentions.  Both Suchan and Rohr have been named to the all-conference team in some capacity every year they’ve been on the team; this is Suchan’s third straight time being named all-conference (first-teamer in 2016 and 2017), and Rohr’s second straight honorable mention.  Ikerd also becomes a two-time all-conference player (honorable mention in 2016) with this naming.

Aside from the first team and honorable mention categories, Academic all-conference honors are given to juniors and seniors who finish with a 3.25 GPA or above.  Six demons were named to the academic all-conference team this year, which is equal to the last two years combined: Ikerd, Brandon Stephanie, Abdullah Talal, Sean Zimmer, Ben Baughman, and team manager Jose Reyes.  This is Stephanie’s second straight year receiving that honor.

The Demons finished this season with an overall record of 9-7, a three-game improvement from a season ago.  The team loses Salgado, Stephanie, Talal, Tony Torres, and Sean and Thomas Zimmer to graduation, while returning the remaining 16 players.
