The Winfield-Mt. Union baseball team is in search of their first win of the year after dropping their most recent contest 10-0 on the road to Cardinal Friday in six innings.
The Comets scored in each inning but the fifth, including three in the first and three in the sixth to finish the game. The Wolves were led at the plate by Christian Gerot, Dawson Boal and Nick Crow each with one hit. Mitchell Niebuhr took the loss going four innings, allowing eight hits, seven runs, walking three and striking out three. WMU is now 0-4 on the year as they travel to Wapello Tuesday.
