The Washington boys soccer team dropped their regular season finale Thursday to the Fairfield Trojans 8-1.
The Demons got on the board in the first half on a Julio Salgado goal on a Caleb Suchan assist but the Trojan offense tallied five times in the frame to a 5-1 lead to intermission. Fairfield continued to pour it on in the second half, scoring three more times to secure the win. With the loss, the Demons are now 8-6 on the year as they get ready to open the playoffs against Keokuk next week.
