Over $5 million was awarded across 58 grants Thursday evening by the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.
The spring grant ceremony was held at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort Event Center. Four competitive grants were awarded for at least $100,000 each. Washington Community Theater received $100,000 for theater rigging replacement. The City of Washington received $100,000 for their new fire station. HACAP received $124,900 for the old main housing program. And YMCA of Washington County received the largest grant of the night, $3,500,000 for the YMCA Building project. Since the fall of 2006, the foundation has awarded $42,424,242.
