After being shut out in their previous contest, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team broke out in a big way Monday for an 8-4 win over the Wapello Indians in Wellman.

Ashton VanWinkle and Zeus Fugate got things rolling offensively for Mid-Prairie in the first half with VanWinkle scoring four times and Fugate twice to give the Hawks a 6-2 lead going to the half. VanWinkle added two more goals in the second half for the win.

With the win, Mid-Prairie is now 3-4 on the year, they travel to Cedar Valley Christian Tuesday.
