The Washington Demon boys golf team travels to Keokuk Tuesday to play for the Southeast Conference title.
The Demons enter play as the favorites on paper with a conference leading 156 average per nine holes and a 325 average per 18 holes. That nine hole average is third in the state in class 3A and their 18 hole average is 10th best. The Demons are led by Jacob Van Osdol and his 79 average per 18 holes. Other scoring averages for the Demons include Brock Sobaski and Dalton Myers at 81, Brady Knutson 84, Caleb Tanner 94 and Mitchell Driscoll 95.
Mount Pleasant enters play with a 349 average per 18 holes. The Panthers are led by Trace White and his 82 average per 18 holes.
Fort Madison is next with a 376 average per 18 holes. The Bloodhounds are led by Tommy Wade with a 90 average per 18 holes.
Fairfield checks in with a 383 average per 18 holes. Top player for the Trojans is Jackson Weaton with a 92 average per 18 holes.
Keokuk rounds out the conference schools with a 418 average per 18 holes. The Chiefs are led by Jake Cook and his 92 average per 18 holes.
Washington is the defending Southeast Conference Champion. Action begins Tuesday at 9a.m. and continues all day at the Elks Golf Course in Keokuk.
