If some is good, more must be better.

The Washington Demon boys soccer team extended their longest winning streak in more than a decade Monday night with a 6-3 win on the road at Fort Madison. The victory marked the fifth in a row for the Demons. While the Bloodhounds scored first, the Demon offense got hot scoring once, then again, then twice more in the first half to open up a 4-1 cushion at the break. Fort Madison would get as close as 4-2 in the second half on a 41st minute goal before the Demons posted back-to-back goals to put the game out of reach. Anthony Torres posted a hat trick for the Demons, Abduallah Talal scored twice and Julio Salgado added a goal. Talal had a pair of assists while Gabe Zimmer, Salgado and Pascual Mendoza each had one. With the win, Washington is now 8-3 as they get ready for rival Mount Pleasant Thursday.
