Oakland Acres Golf Course in Grinnell is the site of the action Monday as the South Iowa Cedar League hosts their boys and girls championship golf meets.
On the boys side of the event by the numbers the conference favorite are the Keota Eagles with their conference best 350 average per 18 holes. On the season Keota is led by Luke Hammen and his 81 average per 18. Other scoring averages for the Eagles include Riley Conrad at 83, Jack Eakins 87, Branden Hyman 99 and Max Johnson 101.
The Sigourney boys come into the day with a 380 average per 18 holes. On the year the Savages are led by Dustin Haines and his 84 average per 18 holes. Other scoring averages for Sigourney included Nick Goad and Cole Weber at 91, Josh Mohr 106 and Ian Terfehn 110.
On the girls side the team to beat on paper is Iowa Valley with their 195 average per nine holes. Sigourney enters play with a 230 average per nine holes. The Savages are led this year by Sydney Striegel and her 50 average. Other scoring averages for Sigourney include Madison Schwenke 54, Sam Bird 56, Savhannah White 63, Sidney More 67, Stacia Hammes 72 and Katherine McLaughlin 80.
Keota comes into the contest with a 242 average per nine holes led by Frankie Johnson at 57 per nine holes. Other scoring averages for the Eagles include Lauren Imhoff at 59, Aaliyah Heldman 60 and Brianna Duwa 71.
