It only takes one.

The Washington Demons found that out during a hard fought 1-0 non-conference boys soccer win at Mediapolis Saturday. Despite controlling much of the action in the first half, Washington was unable to find the back of the net, leaving the game in a scoreless tie going to the break. In the second half, the Demons broke through when Gabe Zimmer found Caleb Suchan who ripped a shot by the Bulldog keeper to get Washington on the board. That lone tally proved to be enough as the Washington defense closed down any chances for the Bulldogs. Thomas Zimmer had a pair of saves in goal for the Demons. With the win, Washington is now 4-3 on the year. They travel to Columbus on Monday.
