A gasline has been struck in downtown Washington near the intersection of North Marion Avenue and West 3rd Street.
As heard live from the scene on KCII, the area has been blocked by local authorities and traffic should avoid the area. The gasline was hit as crews worked on construction where the former Goncho Apartment Building stood. There is a strong gas odor and people are asked to avoid the area. Washington Police and Washington Fire Department are on scene. KCII will bring you more information once it becomes official.
