A late season snow fell across the area Sunday afternoon into Monday.
On Sunday, Washington received 2.5 inches of snow. According to the National Weather Service, the record snowfall for April 8th in Washington was set in 1970 at five inches. A record low temperature was recorded Sunday at 14 degrees. The previous record had been 17 degrees in 1972. Temperatures are expected to warm up as the week continues with high temperatures in the low 70’s on Thursday. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
