Over $29,000 was distributed to 20 Washington County non-profits by the Community Foundation of Washington County.

A reception was held at the Washington Public Library and these organizations have endowment funds invested with the foundation. Non-profits that were awarded funds include the Mid-Prairie Community Schools Foundation, Friends of Lake Darling, HACAP, Highland Community Schools, the Washington Free Public Library, Washington Betterment Foundation, Kalona Public Library Foundation, the Kalona Historical Village, and Crooked Creek Christian Camp. The Community Foundation of Washington County has distributed over $250,000 since 2006, and is part of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.
