High school choral and band students will be performing at the class 2A state solo and ensemble contest at Louisa-Muscatine High School this Saturday.

Mid-Prairie will be performing in several different vocal solo and ensemble groups, including the Madrigal Choir. Mid-Prairie band students will perform in a mixed brass ensemble, percussion choir, clarinet ensemble, as well as other solos and duets. Students will be given a division rating of I-V for their performance. Other 2A schools participating are Central Lee, Columbus Community, Mediapolis, Van Buren, Wapello, West Burlington, and Williamsburg. Highland will not be participating because of a music trip to New York.
