The Highland, Columbus and Winfield-Mt. Union boys and girls track teams will attempt to brave the elements tonight at Mediapolis High School for a meet.

The Highland girls were last in action at Mediapolis Thursday, Highland finished sixth of eight teams at the event with Emily Yahnkee leading the way with a win in the high jump. The Highland boys have not been on the track since the Steve Roth Relays March 22nd at Case Field in Washington. The Highland distance medley team of Jarett Brown, Samuel Davis, Mason McFarland and Mason Manley were runners-up on that night.

The Winfield-Mt. Union boys and girls were both at Danville last Thursday. The WMU boys finished second at the meet, winning four titles on the night. Brandon Snowden took gold in the 100 and 200, BJ Rodgers won the long jump and Bryant Holtkamp the discus.

The Columbus boys were last on the track at the Steve Roth Relays at Case Field in Washington. The Wildcats placed ninth of 20 teams that night with 102 points. Columbus had three event titles with Tommy Pretz winning the long jump, Abel Mena the 400 and the shuttle hurdle team of Mena, Pretz, Chance Colby and Nick Hernandez bringing home gold.

Joining the Wolves, Wildcats and Huskies tonight at Mediapolis are Danville, Louisa-Muscatine, Mount Pleasant, New London and Wapello. Action begins at 4:30 at Mediapolis High School.
