The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk and Sigourney Savage girls track teams were in action Monday night at the Iowa State High School Indoor Classic in Ames.
The defending state runner-up Golden Hawks got big nights from Anna and Marie Hostetler. Anna Hostetler was runner up in the 3000 with a time of 10:06.84, Marie Hostetler took third in the event. Anna Hostetler also posted a third place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:24.72. In that same event Marie Hostetler was 17th, Ana Fleming 28th and Moriah Brase 41st.
Other finishes for the Golden Hawks on the night included Cassidy Rourke 26th in the high jump, Tori Boyse 45th in the shot put, Amber Swart 48th and Sidney Davis 74th in the long jump, Sarah Meader 116th and Kessa Jones 126th in the 60m hurdles and Ella Cadena 119th and Shelby Zahradnek 130th in the 60m dash. In relay events the Golden Hawk 4×800 team was 12th, while the 4×400 and sprint medley teams each finished 15th.
For the defending state champion Savages, Summer Barthelman posted the top finish, taking third in the long jump with a leap of 16’3.5″. Hannah Lucas was 66th in the same event. Other finishes for Sigourney included Autum Barthelman 15th in the 60m dash, Summer Barthelman 41st. Sloane Magill 35th in the shot put, Megan Stuhr 53rd, Leah Carter 43rd in the 60m hurdles, Autum Barthelman 49th, Hannah Lucas 63rd in the high jump, Megan Stuhr 100th in the 800 and the Savage sprint medley team took 32nd
