The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team hosted the 2018 River Valley Conference Championship meet Saturday at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman.

Mid-Prairie placed eighth of 13 teams with an overall score of 71 points. West Liberty won the conference title with 286.5 points. Top finisher for the Golden Hawks was Eli Steckly at 126lbs, he was the lone Golden Hawk to reach the podium, finishing in third place.

Other top finishes for Mid-Prairie included Colton Allen fifth at 182lbs and Isaac Boucher fifth at 220lbs.

Mid-Prairie will next be in action Saturday when they travel to Washington for the sectional tournament.
