The Mid-Prairie School Board will have a public hearing this Monday regarding the purchase of new school busses.
Business Manager Jeff Swartzentruber recommended they purchase two new school busses in June for the 2018-2019 school year. These propane-powered busses will replace two busses that are reaching the end of their useful life, according to Swartzentruber. Specifications for the new busses were given to the board and a public hearing is set for 8 p.m. Monday to allow for public input and comment on the specifications. A request for bids will then be sent out with a bid opening scheduled for February 2 at 1 p.m. The Mid-Prairie School Board meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the high school library.
