The Demon and Golden Hawk wrestling teams start their second half of the season tonight when they face off at Washington High School along with Fort Madison for a triangular.
The Demons finished the first half of the year with a 17-2 dual record. They were last in action two weeks ago beating Alburnett and Wapello in a triangular meet with nine Demons coming out victorious in contested matches. Tristin Westphal-Edwards leads the Demons with a 21-1 record at 170 lbs. Walker Ikerd has been effective at 120 lbs with a 17-2 record.
The Golden Hawks come into the contest with a 9-6 record. They also finished strong in the first half by winning two of their three duals at Durant on December 21st. A pair of sophomores in Isaac Boucher and Colton Allen leads the Golden Hawks. Allen has garnered is 17-4 at 195 lbs and Boucher sits at 19-6 at 220 lbs.
The Bloodhounds have a few individuals to keep an eye on throughout the night. Aaron Steffensmeier is a tough out at 152 lbs with a 17-4 record and Sam Hayes is 15-3 at 220 lbs.
