The WACO basketball teams had a productive night on Tuesday when they faced off with Cardinal.

The Warrior girls scored early and often against the Comets to seize a 55-19 win. Scoring was balanced for WACO with three players in double figures. Clara Schmitz and Aubri Garnsey each had 11 points and Kiana Miller added 10. With the win WACO improves to 4-6 on the season and the Comets drop to 1-10.

In the boys’ game it was much of the same with the Warriors claiming a 72-41 win. It was the Nik Coble and Matthew Leichty show, as they combined for half of WACO’s points. Coble finished with a game-high 20 points and Leichty added 16. With the win WACO moves to the season record to 4-5 and Cardinal falls to 0-9.
