The goals for the City of Washington will be discussed in a special meeting Tuesday.

The Washington City Council is meeting in special session to discuss and consider strategic goal setting. The process will include the two newly elected council members – Elaine Moore and Fran Stigers. Ahead of the meeting, teh city hosted an online survey for the general public to provide input on what they would like to see in the future for Washington. The survey received 60 responses from the public and 16 responses from city staff. For the goal setting process, the city is working with a consultant to look at issues and concerns, opportunities and trends, projects or programs in the next one to two years, and the top goal for the next three to five years. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Washington Public Library.
