Iowa’s corn harvest is one week behind the five-year average.
According to U.S. Department of Agriculture, 85% of Iowa’s corn has been harvested for grain. Southeast Iowa is slightly ahead at 87%. Moisture content of corn being harvested for grain across the state averaged 17%. Iowa’s soybean harvest is five days behind average with 97% harvested. In southeast Iowa 92% of soybeans are out of the field.
