Iowa’s corn harvest is nine days behind the five year average with 67% out of the field.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, southeast Iowa is closer to the five-year average with 77% of corn harvested for grain. The state’s moisture content of corn at this time is averaging 17%. Iowa’s soybean crop is six days behind average with 92% harvested, and in southeast Iowa 82% has been harvested.
