The Columbus Community volleyball team found success on Saturday winning their first two games of the year in a tournament at English Valleys.

The Wildcats beat Louisa-Muscatine in straight sets and WACO in three sets. In their final matchup against English Valleys the Wildcats fell in three sets that went down to the wire. Kayla Beenen led the Wildcat attack with nine kills on the day. Taylor Howell connected on 28 of her 32 serve attempts including five aces. Anna Hamilton was everywhere defensively racking up 41 digs in the three contests. Courtney Zaehringer added 26 assists as the setter.

With the wins the Wildcats improve to 2-7 on the year and they will next be in action tonight traveling to Highland.
