Recognitions were presented to Washington County 4-H members at the Iowa State Fair for their strong communications skills.
Seals of Excellence were given for educational presentations to Zoe Fisher, Brittney Pfeifer, and David Hora. Seals of Merit went to Roy Carter and Annie Morrison, Bailey Rees received a certificate of recognition.
Washington County 4-H and Youth Coordinator Amy Green says, “4-H prides itself on developing good communicators. I am always impressed and thankful that our members are willing to put in the time to learn about a topic they are passionate about, organize a message and then practice over and over again to present and teach an audience.”
In the working exhibit category Isadoora Goode was given a Seal of Merit, and Seals of Excellence went to Zoey Dennler, Baylee Stalder, and Bailey and Ally Rees. Brooke Stout was given an excellence recognition in extemporaneous speaking.
