After a breakout year in multiple sports for Sigourney, the Savages will look for that success to bleed into the volleyball season for a team full of veterans.
Last year, the Savages went 7-20 and only lost Anna Ohland to graduation. Offensive production should come from all over for the Savages, as they bring back their top three players with the most kills last season. Sloane Magill leads the bunch with 138 and a kill per set average of 1.86. She has also caused havoc defensively with 24 blocks, third in the South Iowa Cedar League. Leah Carter returns as one of the top setters in the SICL with 393 assists a year ago, fourth in the conference. The relentless Brooke Waechter returns with the most digs of the team with 257.
The Savages start up their season August 29th traveling to Pekin.
