A Wapello man is being held by U.S. Marshals on charges of sexual exploitation of children and production of child pornography.

Louisa County Sheriff Brad Turner says a search warrant was executed for Jack Lee Coleman of Wapello on July 31. The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office assisted FBI agents and the Wapello Police in obtaining Coleman. According to the U.S. District Court Office, Coleman gave an initial appearance in district court on July 31, and had a preliminary hearing on August 3. Coleman is being held pending a presentation of the case to a grand jury for indictment at the Muscatine County Jail.
