This July was hotter than normal in Washington.
According to the National Weather Service, during the seventh month of the year the average maximum normal temperature is 85.7 degrees and this year it was 88.1 degrees. The average minimum temperature was less than half a degree below the normal 63 degrees. And the overall average was 75.4 degrees, one degree above normal. While temperatures were higher than usual, precipitation was below the normal 4.31 inches. However, only 3.4 inches of rain was tallied this July.
