The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team suffered a pair of setbacks Saturday at their home tournament in a final tune-up before postseason play.

The Golden Hawks fell to Clear Creek Amana 9-8 and Central DeWitt 3-2. Against the Clippers, Jaselyn Robertson led the way at the plate going two for four with three batted in and a run scored. Abby Tornow was three for three with a double, RBI and a pair of runs. Cassidy Rourke took the loss in the circle going six innings allowing nine hits, nine runs, walking five and striking out four.

Against the Sabres, Mid-Prairie was held to just four hits, coming from Kathryn Conway, Georgia Nisly, Cassidy Rourke and Karsen Jehle. Rourke took the loss in the circle going six innings, giving up five hits, three runs, walking two and striking out three. Mid-Prairie will next be on the diamond tomorrow night when they open up class 3A regional play with a trip to No. 7 Solon.
