The Iowa Mennonite School and Lone Tree baseball teams will renew acquaintances tonight on the diamond in Lone Tree in Southeast Iowa Superconference action.
IMS will be in action twice on this Friday in two different locations. Due to lightning late on Thursday night IMS was unable to complete their contest against Louisa-Muscatine in Kalona, that game will pick up where they left off, tied at three in the bottom of the seventh this afternoon at 2p.m. Once that game is finished IMS will jump on the bus bound for Lone Tree on their contest tonight with the Lions. IMS is led on the year by Cole Ours and his .344 average. On the mound, Drake Brezina has worked 20 innings with a 1.45 ERA. IMS has an overall record of 5-4.
Lone Tree comes into tonight’s game with a record of 8-6. They fell to Cardinal of Eldon 5-4 on Thursday. This year the Lions are led by Avery Knock hitting .529. On the hill Ross Swinton has thrown 23 innings with a 2.43 ERA.
Last year IMS beat the Lions by a 6-5 score.
KCII will have all of the action for you live from Lone Tree High School, beginning with the Washington HyVee pregame show at 6:30 and first pitch at 7, on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and KCIIradio.com.
