The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls soccer teams celebrated their seniors with wins Thursday night at the Wellman Soccer Complex.

The Mid-Prairie boys handled Mediapolis by a 3-0 score. Jason Tew did the damage offensively for Mid-Prairie. The junior posted a hat trick on a pair of assists from Ryan Harapat and one from Caden Brown. Ryan Miller and Keaton Debler combined for the clean sheet in goal for Mid-Prairie. With the win the Golden Hawks are now 6-5 on the year and will next be in action Monday in the first round of the substate tournament when they battle the rival Washington Demons on the road.

The Mid-Prairie girls scored a 1-0 victory over the Benton Bobcats. The Golden Hawks lone goal in the match came from Amanda Miller. Kirsten Duwa was in goal for Mid-Prairie to record her second straight clean sheet. With the win the Hawks are now 5-8 on the year and will next be in action Tuesday when they host the Fairfield Trojans.
