The Washington Demon boys golf team took part in the sectional golf meet Thursday in Burlington.
The top two scoring teams advanced to next week’s district meet but the Demons came up short, finishing in third place with an overall score of 322. Mount Pleasant and Mount Vernon tied for the title at 317 with the Panthers winning on a card back to fill the two team qualifier spots. Dalton Myers led the Demons with his round of 74, finishing as medalist runner-up, which allows him to move on to the district meet as an individual. Other scores for the Demons included Jacob Van Odsol with an 80, Tanner Coleman 83, Mason Rich 85, Caleb Tanner 87 and Noah Enfield 90. Seniors Mason Rich, Tanner Coleman and Noah Enfield wrapped up their Demon golf careers at the event.
