Postseason boys’ golf is in full force today in Winfield-Mt Union as the Wolves, Lone Tree, Keota, and Iowa Mennonite School face off for the sectionals showdown.
The host Wolves are the favorite to move onto districts as they have posted the best team average of the seven participating teams with 173.71 per nine holes. Kaleb Hagge is a potential meet medalist as his 36.71 average is the best among all members. Keota has held their own this year as they have the third best average highlighted by Jack Eakins with a 43. Trevor Leyden has been a spark for the IMS season with an average of 48 and leading the Lions is Payton Lorack with a 57.
The chance to advance to districts gets started at 10 a.m. this morning at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Winfield.
